It might seem like “blue light” is becoming one of those buzzwords but do you really know why you’re constantly hearing about it in the media? To save you time searching, we’ve curated a list of some of our favorite articles explaining the science behind blue light and how it’s affecting your body on a daily basis.

1. HOW YOUR SCREEN IS HARMING YOUR SKIN

Being predominantly a sleep company, we mostly inform you of the effects that blue light has on your sleep and eyes but that’s only the beginning of what blue light is doing to you…

Blue light is harsher than other light on the UV spectrum and is known to deeply penetrate the skin, weakening it, making you susceptible to early aging and skin conditions such as Melasma. Read more from Dr. Anup Dhir here.

2. YOU NEED TO PROTECT YOURSELF FROM BLUE LIGHT THE SAME WAY YOU PROTECT YOURSELF FROM THE SUN

High Energy Visible Light (HEVL), better known as blue light, is not the same as the UltraViolet light you’re exposed to, outdoors. Similarly, it has the same effect on your skin, deep rooting itself in your cells and creating substantial damage. Check out Vogue’s interview with skincare and make-up expert, Sylvie Chantecaille.

3. NEW EVIDENCE SUPPORTS DAMAGING EFFECTS OF BLUE LIGHT ON YOUR SLEEP AND EYES

The French Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety have found new evidence that blue light projecting devices are disrupting your sleep and damaging your eyes. Learn more about it here.

4. IMPROVE TEEN’S SLEEP IN JUST ONE WEEK
